Oil system questions TO 20

I've tried searching but without success.
1. Everything I read says the standpipe should have 2 metering holes. My standpipe has only one. It's 1/16" diameter and 2 1/4" from the bottom of the pipe. Do I need to drill another hole? How big and where?
2. There are ribbed rubber seals on the oil tube that goes to the oil pump. These seals are hard as a rock. Does anyone know if there's a option other than OE parts from AGCO for these seals. The MF dealers here in Arkansas aren't very helpful as far as getting parts for the old tractors.
3. The strainer screen is missing. Should I try to find one?
Thanks for the assistance,
BillL

#1. I also read about the two metering holes, but I could only find one. I've seen other posts saying the same thing, so I wonder if the second hole could have been added in later serial numbers?

I ran the tractor for about a year when I first got it, and had about 38 psi of oil pressure.

When I dropped the pan, I found the wrong filter, no spring, and the screen and cover upside down, just kinda rattling around in there.

I put everything back correctly, and even replaced the oil pressure gauge, because I no longer believed it, and now have: 38 psi of oil pressure!

I have good oil flow to the rocker assembly (and an oil-stained shirt to prove it), and I don't hear any screeching metal, so I'm going to keep running it!

As far as your questions 2 and 3: I got nuttin'.

I don't remember seeing the rubber seals on the tube - are they listed in the Parts Book? (I can check my Book tonight.)

Parts book calls them "Sleeve, Inlet tube". Here's a pic-

Yeah, mine had no filter, no screen, no spring, and the cover rattling around, too. I wondered what that noise in the bottom end was, now I know. :)

Thanks for the tip, Bruce. I'll check out the local hose shops.

I checked the tube on mine that I have torn down and it only has one hole also. It being a 1951 model and being towards the last of the run I would have thought it would of had it if it was added to later serial numbers. I looked in the parts book and it only shows one tube was ever used.
