Hmm good question. I picked up a set back in the spring and am planning a winter project out of it rebuilding as best I can. Inside the cast bearing box is a wood bearing that you may want to check out. I do believe that nearly any grease would do. I have learned on this site to think "what would a farmer use?"

I just did a ferguson disc there is a ser# brake not all of them use the wood bearings the Ferguson Furrows had a page about thisin issue#66 :D
