It pays to know your part numbers and shop around

I ordered the rest of the parts I needed for my TO-20 i bought back in the spring, today. I went to rockauto with the part number cross references I have been writing down for a while. Yes you are seeing correctly. I bought 8 sets of Standard Motor Products Blue Streak points for $1.60 a piece. I bought 12 AC Delco C85S spark plugs for $1.03, 4 C87's for $1.02. Complete Fel Pro gasket set for $59.79 and my rod bearings were $4.98 a piece. I ordered a set of Federal Mogul flanged main bearings from another site for $38.99. I got my Sparex flat top pistons from my local Massey dealer for $23.00 a piece. Now that's how you build a motor on the cheap. And keep it tuned up for years to come on the cheap.

Didn't your momma teach you how to share with your friends???
I'll take 3 of each. Thanks.
Hey did you get snow last weekend? There's no escaping the @#$%

Sure did. We got between 4 and 5 inches of the crap here. Gonna try to pick corn this weekend. I'm going to try to reinstall this motor back in that TO-20 during thanksgiving week.

If you can get AGCO to supply parts for a tractor
they no longer support I want to know what your
secret is! All I get from them is "we don't carry
parts for that tractor anymore."Am I just using the
wrong bunch of butts?

a three oz tube of permatex red is four dollars cheaper at the local WM than at the local ACE hardware.

I've been pretty fortunate that my local Massey dealer is a family owned business and has been since 1955 or 1956 if I remember right. They have lots of the old books and still carry a lot of older parts. I bought five NOS plow shares off of the old man there a few weeks ago. Does the one you deal with just constantly tell you that they can't get anything for the old Fergusons? If so I think I would find another dealer.

I always have to watch out for that. Everything came from one warehouse except for the gasket set so the shipping wasn't too bad.

Good for them and for you, guess southern hospitality
ain't what it's cracked up to be.I'll try the other
dealer here in Ga. Thanks

Have you ever ordered from jacksmallengine.com? They are an online Massey Ferguson parts dealer.

We have a JD dealer like that. Chain store that only wants to deal with stuff from 90s up. Had a 70+ year family dealer that knew what parts were still available back to the 40s and were happy to help you and Deere pulled their plug.
