I have my ferguson torn down for overhaul and am struggling with the new thrust washer addition. what holds the new rear thrust in place and keeps it from spinning. Is it true you have to drill and place new retaining pins in the rear of #1 main bearing boss. If so where can i find the brass pins. seems like a bad upgrade with all the room for error.

(quoted from post at 05:43:10 11/05/14) I've overhauled only 1 to20 and there were no REAR
thrust bearings on it just the front.
The original #1 main had a thrust built on it
And a thrust washer that was on the front side of #1 main journal. I cannot find the original style bearing. Yesterdays tractor parts said that you have to add a flangeless #1 main bearing with two brass thrust washers one one the front side of #1 main and the new one on the rear side of #1 main. Thanks for the help

I typed in ferguson to20 thrust washer and was able
to find the correct looking thrust on ebay for 10
bucks. I cut the thinner shims from beer cans until
thrust was correct.
