just bought this old girl.runs great,lift works well.all fluids have been changed.bad news-i.d. plate gone.breather vent on dash-external oil filter on right side.its been converted to 12volt.i'll bring her home today!

It is possible I may be able to tell what year it is if you would post the engine serial number. This number is located on the Engine Serial Tag which is just below the #3 spark plug and it starts Z 129 then the next 6 numbers are what is needed.
 
Jon from what I can see you do not start that engine using the gearshift do you? That is how it was from the factory. That was done for safety so it could not be started in gear.
 
neither my 20 or 30 start with the shifter anymore.afghan seat cover came from mom,she didn't want my tukus wet!i'll try sunday for engine number .maybe find out what year it is.can't wait to plow with it!
 
I wonder if they did the same as in England. In front of the right hand inspection cover under the seat they put some figures. The figures show date, month and year of the centerhousing. Usually the tractors in England was built 1-3 weeks after the centerhousing was cast.
