Wire Clips for Headlight Bulbs...

What's the secret to installing them!?!

Nice set of Hall headlights, with stamped (not cast) bezels, that use the springy wire clips. First clip is easy, but I can't in get the second clip (or the third or fourth) to save my life.

(I'm working inside, on the kitchen counter, so I'm somewhat limited in the use of foul language.)

If I don't get this figured out soon, watch for a set of headlights in the Photo Ad section!

(quoted from post at 21:57:42 10/15/14) use long nose pliers WEAR EYE protection. If these get away from you they can fly keep others a safe distance away. Look at this it will make more sense to see it.

Thanks, Richard. (I did a search in the archives, but I didn't find that thread.)

I also posted on the "N" forum, and the guys over there had similar advice.

I'll let you know how I get along.

The cast bezel, with the screw-on retainers, are much easier! (My worklight had that kind.)

(quoted from post at 22:43:16 10/16/14) Once you get it figured out you'll LAUGH at how quickly it can be done!
You're right, Bob - it was easy, once I knew how. (Thanks, all.)

Next project: the headlight bucket is missing one of the little threaded brass-looking inserts that receives the screw that holds the bezel on. (There's just a hole.)

I was considering JB Weld-ing the correct sized nut in place. Will that work? Any better ideas?
