Half Tracks

Does anyone know if a set of half tracks from a 8N would fit a TO35? I see a set advertised locally.

I have a set of bombardier tracks on my TO30 I believe that
they should also fit a TO35. The only concern is if the 35 axle
trumpet is larger than a 30 which I don't think is.

Any way they work great in snow and also plowing fields.

Buy them. Even if they don't fit right off the bat, you are handy enough to... 'make' them fit. The idlers are like turnbuckles, so I don't think you will have any problems. A better option would be to move where you don't 'need' half tracks anymore... ya I know.....

This must have turned heads.......saw one of these in Alaska.

I've never seen a set close up so I'm not sure if they are complete. What would you think they're worth? The rubber is in pretty rough shape but I know someone who has some that would probably work.
Here's some pics.

Not sure why it doubles up the pictures for me...........I swear I only uploaded 4 pics!

If you scroll down fast, it looks like they're moving!!!
Not at all like my aarps. Tom will know for sure, but looks like Bombardier. Bon nuei mon ami.

I have a set of half tracks, but they're not quite like those. The tires need replaced, and I checked in to getting a set. As I recall they were expensive. Something like $300 for the pair.

I like that idea betteren tracks. I have seen Henery's video on U TUBE over and over for years. I bet one could be built that would Float and screw through heavy slushy SWAMP MUD.

INNO,
Well, congratulations you are now a Bombardier half track
owner. These are from the early 1950's.

You are missing a few parts. The big ones are the mounting
plates that attach to the fender mount and axle trumpet, also
the springs and spring attachment that goes under the
mounting plate. For tires I used spare tire doughnut tire 16".
They were free and a lot cheaper than finding original
implement tires. Email me and I can get get you images from
the bombardier parts manual and of my tracks.

Thanks Tom. I'm not an owner yet but if we can agree on a price I will be. He says he got them from his neighbor who hasn't used them in 8 years but if any parts are missing he would have them. I need to make sure he does have them before making an offer. Could you post pictures of what is missing?

As Tony said, " buy them!".
So here are pics of the rear and front of the mounts, the spring
and the spring tension wing that I had to make up. Also is my
spare tire implement wheel

Actually I did better than that. I offered $150 and a brand new overrunning clutch which he'll need when he gets a mower fire his 8N. I should have them in a couple weeks.
