Are these fenders factory?

I'm sort of enjoying researching dad's old Ferguson before the rebuild. The serial number is TO-31468 which I assume makes it a 1950 but searching photos I can't find a 1950 or actually any TO-20 with the same light configuration. The mounting tabs no both the front and back of the fenders are identical and look like they are factory installed. Both lights facing forward worked off the light switch along with the left rear which is a red tail light. The right rear is very similar to the front lights but has it's own small switch. Any ideas if these are original or modified or off some other type of tractor, 8N??

Thank you again Dave

The light kits were not "Factory" per say. They were a dealer option and the selling dealer would put them on.

These all look to be orginal Ferguson Lights. THe "Usual" mounting position would be on either side of the hood. However, if a loader was wanted then the hood mounting would interfear with the loader and the lights were often mounted on the fenders like yours.

Use the link below to a long list of reasearch articles. There is an excellent article by the late Phil Fenner on Lighting systems that will tell you all about this topic.

I have a 1954 TO30 with a Wagner loader on it. I don't think they have ever been separated. The light configuration and fenders on it are the same as yours. The holes in the hood for the lights have never been punched out. Love that tractor. Allan.

I spoke to my brother (he's a new grandpa) and he says he remembered dad got a loader with the tractor but got rid of it because steering was a problem. Pops was 5' 4' and weighed a buck and a quarter in the rain. I guess that explains the lights. Thanks for the information all.
