My TO 20 Ferguson has a hole in the block where a rod came out thru,is it possible that I could put in a new piston and rod,and than weld a patch on the block, ???

The same issues with welding cast iron found in the archives apply here. Simple brazing can probably be accomplished - especially if you have the piece knocked out. If the hole is relatively flat and doesn't involve the thicker structural areas a clamping patch bolted inside and out might do the trick. The location, shape and size of the hole can change the answer in several ways.

Good luck!

It depends on where the break is. Are there other parts the need to be held by that part that came out? Find a certified welder and they should be able to tell if they can do it.

Any thing can be fixed BUT do you want to pay what it cost or is it cheaper to get another one?

Proper heating and cooling is the issue. Place in oven, bring to about 6oo desgrees, weld it and allow to drop 100 degrees per hour until cool.
If memory serves.
