Don't have a mamual yet, so what is the point setting on a 52 TO-30? Will carb interchange with TO-20, TO-30, and a 9N Ford? When you change from positive to neg ground for 12 volt, do you reverse the coil wire from + to - ? The newer 6 volt coil is marked dist and batt. Thanks for your help.
 

Points is .020. The carbs will interchange between a TO-20,TO-30,TO-35,and TE-20 but the carbs are sized and jetted for the engine they are on. You can adjust some of it out but it is not optimum for that engine to run a bigger carb than it really needs. You can use a Ford carb but only after some linkage changes. Ford used a ball on their choke linkage and Ferguson had a hole for the rod to go into. It seems like maybe the throttle linkage is a little different also but if you have a Ferguson carb to get the choke and throttle shafts out of they will work on a Ford N series carb. That is assuming they are all Marvel Scheblers that you are using.
 

Swapping polarity on the coil has nothing to do with voltage. Either way 6 volt or 12 volt is the same. If it's positive ground the distributor goes to the + side and switch goes to -. If its negative ground - goes to the distributor and + goes to the switch.
