1957 TO35 with 12 volt, still has the generator charging system
When tractor has been setting awhile and was not used much before that, the battery will slowing go down.
I am charging the battery today, but I noticed some of that white chalky corrosion build up on the post and on the battery box frame. I have those round soft pads around each post that are suppose to help stop this corrosion buildup.
I keep dielectric grease on the post.
Any suggestions other than drive it more.
I do have a battery tender, maybe I need to keep that hooked on the battery.
Old tractor started today, but was slow turning over and it's 75 degrees. I always buy the battery with the most cca cold cranking amps that will fit in the battery box.
????????
Will check date (age) of battery, but I think I got it last year.
No problems starting when I was bush hogging.
