I'm looking to convert 6 volt to 12 volt charging system. can anyone give me some info on how to do that in regards to the wiring portion. also I will have a 6 volt generator for sale once done

There are 6 volt alternators out there, if you don't need to replace the battery.

Check out alternatorparts dot com.

Single wire and the only thing you need is the mounting bracket and top arm.

I'm thinking 12 volt will do a better job when it come time to start this tractor in the cold weather and it may even provide the potential for better ignition fire I would think

I would agree to that. I run an 8 volt in my TO30 for the little extra. Originally I had my voltage regulator adjusted to put out 9 volts charge with the original generator. Worked pretty good for a few years then I upgraded to an 8 volt alternator. Work tractor not show.
