TO-20 locked up HELP

Saturday I used my Ferguson for 3 hours cutting field grass, ran perfectly. Sunday I went out to start it and it immediately locked up. checked to insure the starter was getting 6volts, power was there. So I pulled the starter to insure it was not stuck, it is good. I can use a tool and turn the flywheel around but it seems the transmission is locked up. Tried to pull it in gear with the truck but no luck it just drug the tires nothing turned. This is a little past my knowledge so what do you all suggest I try next????
 
So you got your foot on the clutch while towing it with a truck? That should tell you if the engine or tranny is the problem- but the flywheel turned with a screwdriver? If it starts with your foot on the clutch, and the wheels are still locked up, you might have to get to the top of the transmission next. good luck.
 
If I pull the top section of the trans what might I be looking for??? Other than something that is simply broken.
 
Mine locks up occasionally. I usually disconnect the PTO driven implement and it comes out of gear. Sometimes you can rock them and they pop out. If you take the cover off, you will find the linkage is miss aligned. Use a screwdriver to carefully release the linkage. Don't try to force the shift lever--they break inside the transmission. Don't ask.

Process of elimination...

Will the engine start with the clutch held down?
If yes, the problem is in the transmission.

Does the shifter feel normal? Will it go through all the gears and move side to side in neutral?
If no, the transmission is in 2 gears. Just remove the top, move the slides until they are lined up in neutral and the tractor will roll.

If the shifter feels normal and the rear wheels are still locked, the problem is in the transmission or ring and pinion gears.
