Governor and timing cover

So I am about to take what is left of the old governor out and replace it with a new kit. I was reading the shop manual and it says to replace the gasket and seal when replacing the governor. The problem I have is what seal are they talking about? I can find a timing cover gasket but I can not seem to find a governor seal. Has anybody done this repair know what I need to get before I take it apart? Thanks

That is what I thought. When I search for parts a governor shaft seal comes up but I can not find it in the parts book. Only here on the yesterday tractors parts. 1750108M1. In the shop manual is says to remove the seal and replace it when when installing the new governor assembly. I guess I should replace the crank shaft seal as well. I am going to take it apart and see what is in there.

The governor bearing and seal is inside the timing cover where the governor arm comes out the side to connect to all the linkages. You have to drill the rivets out and then you can remove the governor arm. If there is no play in it then I wouldn't worry with it.

It is blown up. I found most of the pieces in the oil pan. Thanks for the heads up. I am going to take it apart tomorrow. Let you know what I find.
