I ordered a Sparex bearing for my leveling box. (Along with a new shaft to replace the old welded one.) Here's the bearing:
Does the side of the bearing marked "top" really go face up in the housing? It looks to me like the leveling shaft would turn better if it was riding on the "bottom" side of the bearing.
Or is the idea to keep water out of the bearing, like the thrust bearings on front wheel spindles?
