To-20 TO-30 axle interchange

Broke the rear axle on my 1953 TO30 and found an
axle shaft for a TO-20 cheap on ebay does anyone
know if it will fit the TO30?

Nope. Different part numbers. Thought it would.

Pretty complicated simple thing. My TEA has Ford 8N axles and housings, but those off an MF204 I have laying around don't fit at all. I guess this was a 'weakest link' on 20's, so were re-engineered a few times over the 1950's with almost every model change.

I have a parts tractor that still has both axles attached. I live in northern Indiana if you're close.

I'm far away in Noxen PA 18636

A salvage yard about an hour away has one but they want $250 I'm just hoping to find somthing cheaper need to get it going by next weekend.

does anybody know of any other's that will interchange with the TO30.

By the way I snapped this axle first back in 2007 and welded and stress re-leaved it(Day job is machine shop foreman) and it lasted until yesterday. I don't want to try welding it again Machine gets a ton of use Got a full engine rebuild last year.

Yes it will fit, just isn't as strong in the Diff and axles shafts though...John(UK)
