a little help please.can a subject tractor with power steering be converted to manual steering with minimun effert. if it can be does anyone have one for sale. the reason for minimum effert we both are getting on in years so thing move slowly. my e mail does not work so post me a phone number i will call

Sure, just disconnect all the power steering hoses.......but then it will require more than minimal effort do steer it. The power steering system is an assist, so without the pump in place, I believe it will act as manual steering. You may also have to remove the assist ram from the front of the steering column but then you would have to cover up the hole it leaves behind. I'm guessing the power steering is not working so you want to remove it? If it were me, I'd probably want to fix it. Does it have a loader on it?
 
If your taking the PS off you will have to change the complete steering section( steering wheel down) and replace with a manual one. Remove it from top of transmission. Remove pump from engine and replace with cover. I would say it will be a big job if your up in years. I always want the PS. LOL
 
I have a complete manual steering sector for sell in Ga. which I removed and replaced with ps.It"s not that big of a job, what is wrong with the old?
