It followed me home two weeks ago, and was told I could keep it as long as I washed it, checked for fleas, understood that feeding and cleanup afterwards was my responsibility.

Now I'm training it to mow paddocks, 5" Bush Hog, string electric fence, and other pasture duties.

All of your responses have been very helpful, for this I truly thank you. I'm sure other care questions will arise as this tractor is put back to work.

Nice! I have a 1958 SN 187525, with the Thermostart intake heater, no advance injection pump. I see yours has the load advance block on the pump so it is newer. Is the SN tag still in place?

The Serial # Data Plate is missing, best # I can find is the Standard 23 C serial # of SJ106235L. Tachometer has FE at the bottom of face, so this may have been built in Detroit for export, and possibly went to Canada, but that is only speculation.

Working on the electrical wiring now as attention is required. I have the glow plug heaters but not the manifold heater.

First thing is sorting out the ignition switch wiring path as it will engage starter with either a key turn to left which activates the glow plugs and starter togeather or turn to the right which is the starter only. Was given advice earlier on how wiring should attach, followed that, but same problem of not getting glow plug only, but both glow and starter. Fortunately the wiring paths are not complicated and easy to access.

Very Nice, lucky old you. The only things that ever follow me home are covered in fleas, have mange and smell really bad. It must be the company I keep!

You did all of that in two weeks time?! You are making some of us feel bad, me especially. Very inspiring to see the great job you did though.

Photos of putting a TO-35 back to work. Mowing horse paddocks at the new training center we are building. Last photo will show "We Speak Diesel Here"

So, looks like my 23c is the only one on the planet that makes smoke? Un bloody likely...
I hope she runs as good as she looks!! Good luck with it!
