Hey all- I was trying to change the oil in my TO30 and trying to loosen the bolt that holds the lid on the cannister. Well the spindle that the bolt threads into wound up breaking on me so now I'm not sure how to fix it. Can I replace just this spindle or do I need a whole new cannister?

I changed mine over to a spin on and still have
the original if you want it. You pay shipping.

isie- thanks for the offer. I did find a used one on ebay that I ordered already. If I have any further issues though I might get a hold of you. I was wondering about those conversion kits, I wasn't sure if everything you needed was part of those kits. I found one on this site for $29. Probably should of got that. I tried calling asking about it but no one picks up the dang phone there!

I can not recall where i bought my kit from, but I am pretty sure it was from all state ag. Everything I needed was in the kit . I really did not loke the gasket that was included seemed to small so I just made a new one out of an old rear inner tube from the tractor. works great.

The only thing that keeps me from buying one of these kits for my TO-35 is the availability and price of the filters. Do they use a common auto or ag type that you can find pretty easily? I can get the Fram C3P cartridge filter locally for $6.50 or so because it also fits some auto diesel engines.
