TO-30 temperature probe gasket

I have replaced the temperature gauge/probe assembly twice now
and the new assemblies I bought from YT. In both purchases they never send a new gasket that is used to seal the probe in the casting where it is mounted. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a new gasket or perhaps what size it should be? The probe itself is 3/8" in diameter so the seal ID should be 3/8" so would a standard O-ring work?
Thanks,
Bruce

No leaks but this seal was here with the original temp. probe. I replaced it the first time because the capillary tube was broken and then a second time because I wasn't getting a good reading that I thought it should, stayed near bottom of scale and didn't rise up to a working level. Second meter is doing same so my thinking is the probe end is touching the other side of the casting creating a heatsink effect on the probe. The gasket may prevent the probe end from touching the casting side. However I have found if there is no water around that probe you won't get a good water temp reading either. Wrapping the probe flange with Teflon tape might work for keeping the leaks away.

I'd find a copper or aluminum washer for a spacer/seal. The sender/nut assembly is kinda like a compression fitting and you'll need to get the nut tight enough to squash a rubber O-ring.

When I installed mine I opened the hole up with a drill for the probe to stick thru and then I sealed mine with a standard oring. Hasn't leaked in 3 years.
