well i got the to-35 diesel rewired. i soldered and heat shrink-ed all the terminals.

im supposed to get the new ignition switch in the mail today.

i also added a couple of indicator lights, one for the glow plug and one for the alternator.

yea, i know the correct police are gonna be all over me but it's my tractor and i'll do what i want with it. im gonna get an old car style light switch for the headlights and im gonna replace the amp meter with a volt meter since now it has an alternator and i'd rather know what shape my battery is in.

In the first pic the wires look very close to exhaust manifold and a little bondo applied to the steering wheel cracks followed by black paint will dress it up.Good start.

i used different gauges for different runs. lets see: 8 awg from alt to starter solenoid, i think 0/1 from starter solenoid to battery, the exciter wire from alt to lamp is 14 awg. on all the rest i used10 awg because i already had it sitting there, so it's a bit overkill, but what the heck. i hope that helps. :)

Out of curiosity, what gauge wire did you use. I'm looking to rewire mine as well. The original wire is in very bad shape.
