Out of Retirement

Used the 40 and DO-20 rake today and did a small block of hay. First time I used the rake since I bought it 2 years ago. Brought back a lot of memories. Years ago we used the Ferguson rakes. They always do a great job. They are still better than the wheel rakes you buy today. And a lot cheaper. LOL

Holy Cow will wonders never cease?!?!?!
One of the museum quality 40's working a hay field???? That's like a triple crown winner pulling a plow... or a super model doing dishes... ya know, if you used the fergies more often, your dumb ford wouldn't be in a million pieces... do these guys know you own the competition???? They do now!!

Hi Sam, did you have any Ferguson side rakes in Northern Ireland ?. When I left school in 1958 I started in the farm machinery trade and the company i worked for took a Ferguson side rake in part exchange for a Vicon Acrobat some time in the early 1960s. I did not know what happened to it. MJ

I have 2 Ferguson 40s that still do dishes. They are my main labor force as I don't crop just put up hay for cattle. Wish I could retire one at a time and make them shine as well as yours does. Both of mine have wide fronts thank goodness as i do have some rolling ground in places. Anyway good looking tractor

You are lucky in the fact that your D-EO-20 rake is the later model, with the beefier cross bar in the front and the teeth it uses are cheaper to buy than the teeth for the early rakes.
