tractor charging circuit

Hi everyone, I haven"t been on here in a while. Does anyone have a pic of a wiring diagram for a TO35. My battery isn"t charging from the alternator. The alternator is working fine, but the anmeter has never moved and the battery is not charging. I am using a one wire alternator and am curious if I can run it through a regulator and take it directly to the battery?

One wire alternator already has an internal regulator. It needs to rev up to get it started. How do you know it is working?

with lights and/or ignition on, engine not running the ammeter should swing slightly toward negative

Check voltage across battery with engine off, then with engine running. It should go to 13.5+ volts when running if charge circuit is working.

If you suspect bad ammeter jumper across ammeter terminals and repeat above test

If you can get the plug off of the 2 edge pins on the one wire alternator, with engine running momentarily touch +12 volts to #1 pin and see if that starts it to charge.

I have a PDF on my hard drive. But I don't think there's any way to post if here.

If you email me I can send it to you.

Please put "Wiring" in the subject line so I know it's not spam. And give me a little time to reply - I'm not on the computer all the time.
