Ferguson TEA20 radiator

I purchased a radiator from Yesterdays Tractor part #181623M1 and it doesnot fit my tractor. The biggest problem is the lower outlet is too high and the fan blades are touching it. Also the upper outlet is off about 1/4 inch and the mounting bracket for the upper suppot rod is off a bit. Has any one had this same problem.

I had similar problems I had to shim it up one side or the other to make it level with rubber shims i made. it may be different for you

Local Club Member had same problem with TEA 20. He took both new and old to local radiator shop and had tanks put on new core. He was charged $385. More than he gave for new radiator. Other members had same problem with shop over charging, but he didn't know it. So ask price if you have your changed. LOL

It's a common problem for aftermarket radiators to not quite fit right. Had the same problems with a TO35 radiator. I made it fit, but one thing kept leading to another. By the time I was done, would have been better to send it back, try another brand/supplier.

You may have received the diesel by mistake or vise versa. Both the upper and lower hose are different. My ferguson 35 radiators don't fit my 35 standard. You can go on ebay and see the differencies.I think the te's are more in line with the diesel.

Ah yes, after market parts made in the land of "near enough is good enough".

I've heard the same complain about Sparex and Bareco TEA20 after market radiators sold in Australia.

Pity you couldn't keep the original Coventry Radiator Co Ltd radiator in your TEA20. They were far heavier and far, far better than the after market offerings.
