Hello All , I've got a TO-20/30 that does not get used that much. Maybe a couple hrs. a week. Usually on the weekends. Should I change the oil and filter every year ? Oil looks as clean as when it was put in. Trans oil is the same way. Runs excellent , Starts in half a turn. Thanks , Bob

OK , mixed reviews . It's in a heated garage. Never used in the rain , or while snowing , pretty much babied . Thanks Again Bob

I always change the oil yearly, but don't always change the filters. The canister filters sometimes are prone to leak after changing and sometimes I don't mess with that if the tractor is rarely used.

I would change the oil once per year, depending on the time of the year you get condensation on the inside of the block and transmission sump.

Need to get that moisture out.

Cheap protection, also check the air filters or oil bath depending on what you have, mice love vehicles that are rarely moved.

They eat wiring insulation, build nest inside of air tubes, etc:

Waste not want not.Coming from parents that experienced the great depression I saw first hand how they conserved everything.I got a new to me 65 that still has its original oil and filters that were in it when i got it. No need to jump in and spend until I know the tractor will perform good.

I agree with 2 tractors if oil is clean and not used much don't waste money however if you use it hard one year or if it sets ran for more than five years I would change at less the engine oil. I like to refer to this tractor as tolerate and as long as there is the correct amount of fluid keep running it will most likely out running you if in really good shape
