what is a TO-30 worth

We have a TO-30 with loader on it. It has been used pretty hard over the years, and has been sitting for probably 10 years now. I think it would run again without too much work. If running - any idea what it might be worth? Thanks

You are asking a tough question . Value will depend mainly on its condition & appearance . Things that will vary the value :: is the engine loose , does it run , does it smoke or make any unnatural noises , does the hydraulics work correctly , what condition are all 4 tires & rims in , any fluid leaks , anything missing , does the electrical system function properly , any lights on it , are there any rusted thru areas or damages to the tin , does it have the grill & bumper on it ? That's several questions I'd be asking & I'm sure there's others that possible interested parties will come up with . Value can be any from $500.00 up to $1500.00 since its sat idle that long .HTH ! God bless, Ken

I think what ken has stated are all important details when it come to buying and selling a tractor but being what it is a loader itself may bring $400 to $500 alone and the tractor itself could fetch as much as $2000 alone, but all that will depend on the items that ken had pointed out. also the area in which you live will be a part in the running as well. this old tractors have a certain value even if they don't run so good luck with your appraisal.

Location is a factor. A real big factor is the rear tires and rims. Those are expensive. Ken listed a number of items, all worth checking by the buyer. Does the loader have a front pump and is the pump in good shape? Loaders without a good front pump are not worth very much. The pumps new cost about $400 and then you have maybe a $500 loader, if you get my drift. Scrap value of the tractor is perhaps $500 with the loader. Another item that I always check is the brakes. Does it leak fluid down the inside of the wheels and do the brakes hold good? When the buyer goes to put it on a trailer he will find that out real quick. Real nice shape, good tires and tin, hydraulics and brakes good, loader working with minimal leaks, it might bring $2000 or even slightly more.

This weeks bargian is next weeks mistake,a better bargian is just around the corner. You want a small tractor with good resell value or a cheap fixer upper?I'd try and step up to a to35 with duel clutch, not much more cost wise but much better in resell and performance. The 20 has less horsepower but less chance of a busted block. The bigger or newer the rear tires the more its worth.
