Thanks for all your help .. I just can't seem to find it ..
We have some guys around that are good with starters ... so I may take it to them or I can get a new one on Amazon.com for $159 ...

I really appreciate your time and suggestions and tried them all ... but something just isn't right .. and it is beyond me .. thanks though

Find a shop that rebuilds alternators and starter motors and they can fix it.

Thx .. we have one .. that does a lot for the farmers and tractor guys around here .. he is good and reasonable !!

"GD" tractor? Is that a description in general? Yeah any auto electric shop might get it running with new brushes and a good cleaning. Don't spend a bill and a half till you take the old one to a shop first.

OH OH looks as Tony could not take it in Texas I believe he is back in Mass. Tony you didn't really talk Mickey into using those cases of Rust Oleum you took down there for any of his restorations did you?
