OK, so I'm replacing the front crank seal on my TO30 and I've got the seal in and the housing on, but with that huge felt dust seal - do I put it in dry? Soak it in oil first? Wet it with WD40?
My instinct says to get some oil on it first but then I'm thinking that would trap dust and make an abrasive paste that would erode the integrity of the front seal and or the pulley's sealing surface.
