First time I went to a FENA Expo in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.. a lot of folks came onto the Ferguson stand and said "Oh look at the little Fords"??????? That sure ruined my holiday!!!! I spend two days at the show trying to edumacate them that they were better than Fords!!!!!

Sam, I have always been quite familiar with the "N" series Fords, but knew few details about Fergusons. When I was actively looking for a tractor about ten years ago a local dealer had an 8N and a TO30 side by side on the lot. The salesman, whom I casually knew, explained some of the differences such as the OHV engine had more power and a few other things. I didn't purchase one of those, but a few weeks later,I purchased a TO30 from an individual who advertised in the local paper.

Sold my one and only 8n and was just as hard to part with as all the others, just thought I'd clear that up.

I took my 54 TE-A20 up the road to an old friends place to do some back blading on her driveway. It was terribly rutted up. There were some younger fella's there helping out and had one of them insist my tractor was a 9N Ford even after I showed him the tag and explained the difference. Can't teach some folks.
