Hey Volksman79

Did you ever get the throttle spring you ordered from Jack's 180088M1 was the part number? I placed an order for one about a week ago and I have not received an email telling me it was shipped. Wondering how you made out.

It's not resolved yet but I bought a new to me timing cover which seems like it's less worn out than the one I have. I'm just waiting on the springs I ordered, one from here, one from Jacks small engines. Just got an email this morning from them saying it's not in stock. That's why I'm asking Volksman if he got his. It is my understanding that these parts go out of stock in the aftermarket and eventually the manufacturers make more.
I'm thinking my problem is more than likely with the governor shaft bearings in the timing cover but I want to get all the parts before I do any more work to it, replacing the springs and re-adjusting before having to tear off the front end to replace the timing cover.

I'll tell ya 2, Inno just has no faith in screen door springs. I offered to let him root thru my 3 cigar boxes full of em.
Up where he lives, I wouldn't be surprised there isn't a big mosquito nest in the air filter, and the tractor only works good if they all flap their wings together

Maybe I've got a touch of OCD but I'm not going to be satisfied until this thing works properly!
You may be right Tony but it's been so cold the mosquitoes are either asleep or dead. I may have to get some fresh ones when the weather gets warm enough. I went through my spring container, which just happens to be an old tobacco can, couldn't find anything in there that made me happy so I decided to spend some money and get the right springs. If it doesn't work after all this.........I don't know.......right now failure is not an option.

Tobacco can? Prince Albert? If it's metal, don't scratch the paint!
I already got mosquitoes. I'll send you some fat ones! That'll teach the customs people to open packages!!!
Nope. That darn tractor is no darn good. Put it on a trailer and bring it here. I'll thro it away for you... hey if 2 tractors can try that ol line on me... and you're even closer...

Naw, it's a plastic can. Yeah Tony, I'm just about ready to give up on this old piece of junk...........

That big wasp nest under the dash, slop, idle, timing, running rich, lean, hope its not barametric pressure, then one day it all of a sudden runs like a champ, that when Inno buys another tractor with more important problems and then this one sounds good.

ummmm...aaaahhhh... tell ya 2 , you lost me at 'barometric pressure'.....
But when Inno needs another project... he just needs to get here with a big trailer... he'll never ask for another tractor again...
