would this work as a....

It would work as a straw chopper of sorts, but it would not do a job of discing unless you found a way of putting an angle or 'set' on the discs. Maybe put one lower link pin in the original hole and set the other about 6 inches forwards??????......My tuppence worth?....Sam

Man, you fill those trays with weight and you'll need a stout lift to pick it up! First one of those I have ever seen. It would sure cut up some straw or anything else, but as already stated, no curve on the disc, no angle on frame. Nope, just find yourself a good used disc.

Nahhhhh. It will be like trying to use 8 coulters at once. And I bet they are too thin to act as a harrow, you'd ruin it in a couple hours.
Now, if you day dream about turning an ex wife into pizza toppings, this should work just fine without many rocks in the weight boxes....
It was too far from me, never mind you, but after a year on craigslist, someone near Worcester Mass just finally sold a 6 foot H Ferguson disc harrow for 400 bucks. Maybe less? I already got a set... or I would have jumped on them. Keep looking.. they're out there!
