Those darn Hawks took out 2 of our Cardinals last year, that I know of. I try to shoot them when I can, which isn't often. Everyone I know tries to get rid of them in this area.

the red tails are plentiful here. I think that is one of the reasons we seldom see bunnies here any more. can't legally shoot them as they are protected.

Thought it was against the law to shoot hawks, Think the bunnies disappeared with the frogs when the ddt pellets were dropped from planes to control fire ants.Use to be that on a rainy night the frogs would get splattered on the roads.

S19438 which is protected the bunnies or the hawks? I had not heard about our Hawks being protected and yes we have mainly red tails also. I have seen many people shooting at Hawks in our area. Maybe I better find out for sure before I end up in the tax payers Hotel.
