Must be one of the Indian guys who do the telemarketing on our phones over here? ( with his pronunciation of the tractor name!)
Harry Ferguson really enjoyed the Indian and African pronunciation of Massey-Harris-Ferguson........Massa Harry Furgson......Sounded to him like he was the boss!!!!
LOL And don't believe the 1958 part of that advert!!!!!......Sam

Kinda reminds me of what my old Parts Manager used to say:

"Old wimmins and old houses - if"n ya" puts enough coats of paint on "em, they"ll look younger, but underneath all that paint ya" still gots an old woman or an old house!"

(I think that goes for old tractors, too!)

Why not Sam? Don't you think people know what they have? Another ad I like is when they say restored like new. But it is the wrong color.

I love how the "rebuild" left so much overspray! It's kinda shiny, must be a good tractor!

Ya no, masafugson was the result of the merger between the masahara and fugson company's... but the tractor in the add is a fugson TO20. You can see the oil filter cover on the bottom of the oil pan.

Now now gentlemen, we must keep our eye on the cricket ball..
$2000 is an asking price, he might take 16 or 1700 or less for quick cash? The chains are worth at least a bill and a half, those are nice big loops, not old highway chains. The blade is another couple hundred? So the tractor itself could be less than 1500? Looks like it is all there, but -we'll assume it is a 48 not 58? So which wheel center is original? The 6 loop or the hat-channel ring?
Inquiring minds need to know...

Tony, after really looking at those centers I believe them to be Ferguson 6 loop on both sides, matching centers.

Known in Australia as a "Dulux Overhaul"!

If they all talk like him in that area, he'll find a sucker dumb enough to part with his money.

The advert now says "1949".
