Governor arm

Hi everyone, in the continuing saga of my Frankenthirty I keep needing more and more parts to make a TO30 again. Right now I am looking for the governor arm that sticks out of the front case that attaches via a rod to the carberator. I do not need the whole front case just the arm and axle for no better word. The one that is there has been "repaired" mechanically. I will try to post a picture later.

Thanks

Tom

You will probably have to buy a timing cover to get the arm since it has to be drilled for removal. Whenever you get one make sure the bearing is good inside the cover because if it isn't the cover will not function correctly if at all. If you do not find one I have a couple of spare timing covers with the governor arm in them.

How can you tell if the bearing is good or not? I'm guessing by how freely it moves and any side to side movement. I had mine off about a month or so ago and the bearings seemed good but my governor action is not what it should be. It does seem to govern so it won't go over speed but when you put a load on it, it does not respond to bring the rpm up.
I might be interested in one of those covers Jason.
