Just drug up this 65 4 cylinder diesel. Owner had it on cl and had the front and rears all spread out so I talked him down a 100 plus got him to narrow it up to 6'9" and it barely fit.Was expecting to have a rebuild but he got it running and drove it on the trailer. Put a new oil gauge and need a muffler, oil cap, tires, sheet metal and temp gauge. Other than that it runs good with little smoke. Plan to put on the fel. Ps works but lift doesn't.Running in pics!!$700 Perkins diesel, sounds strong.

Now that's a way to narrow up the arsend! So you did get it home on your own trailer? Good for you! I guess that's the way to do it in less than a day with power adjust rims huh?
Mine never had the lift working, cause it always had a batwing mower. I am going to bet the pto don't stop turning either, if it is a live pto, then the two are related- I'll dig up some you tubes I found on this, they helped me sort all that out. Boy you live in bargain country that's fer sure. All ya need now is a few cans of blue rustoleum!!
Congratulations!

Yeah an after closer inspection The rears are on 8 inch centers. Thought they would be like my 50 which fit the 35s, no bolt holes under the cradle for the fel. Would you listen to me whine! Got a good runner, cranks easy, smokes very little, no water in oil, not overheating,ps works well I'm knockin on wood. Its a late 59 with duel clutch.Which manual is best?

Cripes, the I&T's do it for me. Wish the pictures were better- I like books with lots of pictures..
The beginning of my video the other night, did you notice how beefy the centers are? Yep, the bolt pattern is way off too. Those rear wheels are on steroids compare to a 40 or 50. yours look like 28's? Same as those on my big blue one.
As for the loader.... the front bolts to the side of the frame, not under it like a 35. you got an extra 35 loader? Uh oh.
I think I took a shot of the front mounts? You better watch that video again.
There will be a quiz in the morning....

Looks like you got yerself an Massey Ferguson 65.......bet it has some brake issues? The BIG secret to keeping these dry brakes working is to keep them DRY. There is a small slot where the axle bell housing meets the tranny housing.....stick the blade of a knife in that slot at least a couple of times a year, to clear brake dust, if nothing else, This lets any oil that may leak past the seals get away before it soaks onto the dry discs. One of the best motors Perkins ever built, Same engine series as the 3 cylinder but with an extra pot......Now you need to look for a British 65 bonnet/hood and have a partner for your 35??????? Pittsburg tractors , down beside Micky, have plenty of US style 65 hoods Or try Irvine Nolt , in PA.....

Humm, now that I see the extra section under the fenders, now they look like 38's. What are 38" power adjust rims? 700 each?
Yep. A no good tractor. Better let me come down and throw it away. If 2 tractors delivers it, I'll show him the dumpster I threw all the tail lights in. (I lied)
Since it is a 'clear pallet'? I think 2 should try to put his 33 dodge hood and grill on there.. paint it all bright yellow, people will think it's a pre war Minnie Mo... or I can swap him that blue 'New York State Thruway Authority' tin off my MF30- that aught to give the collector world something to think about!

Tony, you must have a lot of comic books, they have a lot of pictures. You got any real old ones? I might be interested at my price!! Miner09 you don't have to help him out this time. LOL

Thanks for all the pics and advice.Looks like Monday won't be a day to play with the 65, wifes cars starter went out and my 35 fel loaned to a neighbor ran down the battery plus rain moving in. I took off the hood and both sides but don't have front grill and emblems also missing lower apron under dash front.
