Ferguson paint

My husband needs to know when Ferguson went to two colors, hood and fenders different from the rest. Also, which tractor came after the Ferguson TO-35. Thanks!

The Ferguson TO 35 was made from 1954, Ferguson Light Grey & Dark Metallic Green to sometime in May 1956 then it was Bamboo Beige and Flint Metallic Grey (with some of them painted Bamboo Beige and Dark Metallic Green) until Dec. 1957 when the last 1,874 1957 TO 35s were painted Red and Flint Metallic Grey as they wanted the factory to have all the paint lines cleaned out and the new colors ready to be used when they started running the 1958 models, after the first of the year. After the Ferguson came the Massey Ferguson 35 sometime in (I think May of 1960) until the end of MF 35 production in 1964 then came the MF 135.

Well thank you. Cliff said to tell ol' Bruce, "Don't you worry about Cliff's treasure."

He was smiling when he said it; I wouldn't want you to think he was offended.

Actually, the Ferguson stuff is for his brother, Phil, who recently joined our tractor club. He has been looking at tractors that might be fun to display when the club has shows or takes part in parades, etc. He seems to be pretty set on finding a Ferguson. We have one died-in-the-wool Ferguson enthusiast in the club, and I'm sure once Phil gets with him he will have a lot of questions answered.

I love the Yesterdays Tractors boards! There's always somebody to answer questions about any kind of tractor. It's like having neighbors just across the back fence that are ready and willing to help out.

tell him to look for a early 1956 model ferguson.
there is some debate as to when they started/stopped painting them with the
more rare beige/green color scheme.
mine is a 1957 model so it was painted beige and gray, but the owners manual we got with the tractor is copyrighted 1956 and the tractor on the cover appears to be painted beige/green.
