"It had a hole in the manifold at about the same place as that tube on the outside of you manifold about in the center of the manifold. What is that tube for??"

That is the breather pipe from the valve rocker cover.

"What is the purpose of the little tube at the top of the filter close to the big carb intake tube. Is it for crankcase ventilation?"

That is a lower end crank case breather.

Whilst I'm posting .......... a TEA20 generator output is only 11 amps maximum. The only 2 inch matching amp meter I can find is 60 - 0 - 60, so when generating the needle hardly moves at all.

Anyone know where I can buy a 2 inch -15 - 0 - +15 amp meter with either black or white face?

Ampmeter: I found a reproduction meter at Sparex
few years ago. Orderred via local Sparex distributor. I do'nt know if they are still available.
