There were a lot of Fords that individuals changed over to larger engines. I have seen several Fergusons also but neither came from the factory that way, I do not think. If you go to "you tube" and type in Ferguson V8 tractors or something similar I believe you will find quite a few of them.

I could be corrected but I don't believe Ford did the Funk.I think it was a kit sold so a person could convert the Ford to a 6 or an 8 cylinder. I hauled a Funk with a flat head 6 to a guy in Oklahoma years ago when I wad doing hot shot (did mostly antique equipment) kinda cute. Bought a pretty dollar.

look over at the MF forum someone with a little bit of money got creative and made the Massey Assassin don't think it's good for plowing though.

Saw this one at a show a couple years ago.

dan, that v8 ferg is a te20 with a chevy 350.gent lives 2 roads over.and yes it was at the pageant of steam in Hopewell n.y.they have used it couple times to skid logs!

I understand that the early small block Fords ( 221 , and 289 ) with a 5 bolt bell housing pattern bolt up quite easy . You have to do some frame work to keep the front end attached .

This from the archives and he still posts on the Case David Brown forum:

Re: Re: Re: Z129 is Shot, Need Suggestions in reply to PAUL, 04-16-2002 01:40:10 It has to be a 221, 260, or 5 bolt bellhousing 289 ford engine. The 289's 65 and newer have a 6 bolt housing and that won't work. The biggest problem I had was cooling. Mine has a belly mower under it and it is a daily user. I ended up with the hood, grill, and radiator from a 930 Case diesel before my temperature problems were completly solved. I don't have a digital camera so a picture is tough. It fits in there so nice that most people don't even notice it. Takes 2 hours and less gas to mow my 7 acre lawn than the Z120 did. To explain how I fit it in would take me an hour and several pages. I'm calving now and can't take that kind of time, but I can sure answer questions between calves. I live in SD and you're welcome to come and look. I havn't had time to paint it up so it is not real pretty, but it has potential to be a showstopper!
