Hey, at least the kick stand ain't still stuck in the ice! I could hallucinate that I am plowing (ploughing) a row of potatoes... but it is just practice, I will plant snowballs tomorrow... really? It is a trench to dry the @#$%^&* place out! Even the grass is still froze solid...
I had to do something.. they have the Saint Patrick's Day Parade tomorrow... so we have to pretend don't we???

Tony, bring that disc plow to Lagrange and I will give you $20 more than you paid for it. Isn't that why you bought it so you could flip it and make a profit?

Tony Didn't you pay me $2000 for the plow? Take the $20 profit. LOL Your still shoveling snow and I've just finished mowing yard for the second time.

Crazy ain't it? We just got a foot and a half of fresh fluffy white goodness yesterday! I knew taking my 35 out of service would get our (hopefully) last snow storm out of the way. It worked!
I'd post pics but I do NOT need any more pictures of snow. At this rate I won't be mowing 'till June/July.
:? :x :? :x :? :x :? :x

if worse comes to worse you can always stand the plow on end, grab a pair of Ferguson drum sticks and have at it.....................

(quoted from post at 23:00:33 03/22/14) Inno,

Ever get your governor back together and working?

Just picked up the parts yesterday (seals, gasket etc), might have time to work on it today. Received email from John UK as well which helps. He's been under the weather but sounds like he's on the mend. He gave me a few things to check which I'll do when I'm cleaning up the parts and then I can put it back together.

Yeah I been wanting one of those disc plows and have seen them listed on CL for 500. What is the going price?Took this pic of the driveway Friday and the 2 bradford pears are now green.Sorry T

well 2, I might have been drunk at the time, but Miner tells me I gave him $3000 for it? and Richard offered me a profit, so I guess $3,020 is the going rate in Michigan?

2 the going rate is not what is being thrown around on this thread. I know Tony did not exchange a couple 6 packs of Carlings for that plow as I am positive Miner09 has better taste than that even though I do not really know him. I know he is trying to help Tony for some reason. Must have a case of misc. cans of Rustoleum to sell Tony. LOL

2 tractors,
I have this old MF 64 double disc plow, it has the (bent tube frame), it must have been one of the later models made.
my friend has a Ferguson double disc plow, it has a straight frame.

They work good, I use this one each year, will really roll the ground, but leaves it rough.
Great plows when used for what they were designed, to break rough, rocky, root invested ground, before kick back plows.
They do pull easier than flat bottom plows.
the key to good operation is the condition of the rear guide blade, it must be in good to excellent condition for the plow to track.

To bad you don"t live closer to me. There is a complete Ferguson disc plow about 45 mins from me for sale for $290.00. That"s what they are asking anyway. I bet $250.00 would buy it. It is complete down to the scrapers and even the discs don"t look worn down too much.
