I saw this at a local tractor show , the owner was no where to be found , a few too many beers the night before .
I recall a post about much the same thing on this forum , has anyone produced one ? I'm all for authenticity but the quality of replacement filter cartridges has dropped to the depths of rubbish lately , a decent spin on for working has just got to be a better solution .

Charles

I guess you saw
this
adapter available in Australia for $145.00?
Looks nothing like the original unfortunately.

See the starter motor on the Standard engine in the advert?
Yesterday I moved "Fergy" 600 kms from my old home in Roma to my new retirement home north of the Gold Coast:

Unfortunately I have no space for my toys at my new home and I may need to find new homes for Fergy and my two Jaguars.

I've got to agree with Charles. Sell the jags, sell the boat, sell the trouble and strife's car, then you'll have room for this tractors and a couple mates for it! You never appreciate extra room till you don't have it anymore.

Thanks for the photos and links , not quite the same though . The one I posted seems to be a simpler and neater arrangement , if the spin on was painted grey you would hardly notice the difference .

Thanks, Duner. I've read some of those threads, and it looks like quite a project to convert a TO-20.

One of the threads offered a kit.
AS long as the pan is not hammered up I don't have a problem with original style filter.

Now, somebody needs to figure out something similar for a TO-20, so we can get away from the oil filter access cover in the oil pan! :( (Actually, I guess they already have: it's called a TO-30, TO-35, ...etc.)

I'd be willing to sacrifice a little "originality" to get away from the problems that go with that system on the TO-20.

I was given access to my Brothers machine shop. End result was as you can see. The tie-bolt in the center of the original Filter housing was tapped to 7/8 NF. Thread. The opposite end was threaded to fit your choice of FILTER THREAD. The hole at the top of the Original Filter housing was tapped to a Pipe thread NPT. The remote Oil filter block was threaded to accept the original OIL RELEIF VALVE. The OUT SIDE diameter of the OIL RELEIF VALVE had to be turned under size and re threaded.

Wish I had one, the old canister type is hard to install without leaks.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

I bought one a couple years ago, for a Perkins, I will look for the box or receipt, but I think it was an AGCO for about 17 bucks, suppose to take common/Chevy filters?
