ploughing today!

Local farming and folk museum asked a couple of us guys to
plough for them today.........So my mate, Cyclops and myself went
to it with our Fergys.....His has been repowered with a Perkins
3/152....Mine cost me $60!!!

Cyclops? Well, he has 2 separate eye brows doesn't he?? The soil is rising straight up like you were using disc plows... I hear there's one for sale in Sussex... New Jersey. Good thing you got the tractor so cheap, the plow (plough) is going to set you back.
 
Tony, are you moving over by Sam? $60 for a Fergie over there? Have you thought how many Fergies you could have for the price you have in yours over here? You may be able to fly back to the FENA EXPOS with Sam but I wouldn't count on it. LOL
 
Oh Richard, once the local pub hears me sing sad ol Irish folk songs while standing on a table... they would never let me leave! Or... bring me to the airfield and deport me?
Someone across town wants me to come get a 9N- for free... very nice notion... but why doesn't someone tell me to come and get a TEA20? I'd pay 60 dollars!(think of it Richard, Sam said $60? So in pounds sterling, that is? 40 quid? 2 20 pound notes? like half a tank of gas??? oooooh....
 
OK, now I have 2 questions.
1. what is the disc on Cyclops tractor? I know it isn't a squished headlamp, looks like a gauge.
2. Are the running boards original? Rare on original UK fergies aren't they?
3. How deep are you 'ploughing'? Looks nearly a foot!
4. How come you have a plate, and he doesn't? Does he trailer the tractor around?
 
When did 2 questions become 4, Tony?.....
1..The disc thing is a tax disc......zero rated for tractors but you are still s'posed to have one for road use.
2..The running boards are from MF 35s, not standard equipment on UK tractors.
3..We are ploughing about 6 " deep.
4..His tractor was built from bits and he probably doesn't have any plate for it....We both trailered our tractors to this place as it is approx 45 miles away and you have very fast motoway and a city to get through!.................
