Hi
I was posted in another forum but may have been the wrong one
Anyways
I wonder if someone could help me ,The 3 point hitch was not working and I got it narrowed down to the hydraulic control valve .I was wondering if anyone has ever changed one ? and if so .. does the pump have to come out it all cases?? or are some changeable from the large drain plug in the bottom ...?
It would be tight working in there but I think its possible? The plunger (that's what I call it ) that goes internally into the pump section is broke ,its the piece that is connected to the T and has a rod that runs in and out of the pump to raise and lower the 3 point hitch))
Mine broke about 1 inch from where it connets on the t ,
I think the other piece is still in there. Been cold here and ive been working outside so I havn't got any further than that.

As I said on the other thread removing the relief valve makes it much easier. Use a short 11/16" wrench. Remove the pto shaft for more room. If you have flexible magnet you should be able to slide the rest of the old control valve out.You can buy a new control valve from this site or from your local Massey Ferguson dealer. Here is the link for the one from this site.

You can get to it from the round inspection covers
on the side you may have to spread the control fork
to get the control valve seated between the fork to
attach correctly like Jason said a magnet is your
best friend when it comes to removing lost parts.
