did you buy a sparex manifold?
I know you know I bought but I was wondering....yesterday me, my son and my SIL could not get the upper two inside manifold nuts to fit. did you have the same problem? also did you use new or used nuts?

Haven't installed it yet. Been to cold to paint. I install after painting. Will let you know. I know they are always hard to get on.

I have installed a couple of new manifolds over the years and had to do a little die grinding to get clearance for the nuts to go on in several places. They weren't from Sparex but they may have the same problem.

I would say they are all sourced from the same supplier reguardless of who you buy them from. I used one and had to grind on it. Yor other alternatives is to use allen head bolts, use a smaller nut that has been drilled and retapped to the correct size, or use one of the original manifolds.

I bought one about eight years ago from a local ford tractor dealer who is also a sparex vendor. I don't remember if it was a sparex unit or what but I do know I had no problem with the nuts fitting other than a tight fit.

I bought one from here ( I think ) . Not sure if it was a sparex one but I was not too impressed with the fit. I had to do a LOT of die grinding to make enough clearance to get a socket in to tighten. Unfortunately I don't think there is any other option aside from used parts.

Bought one from here. It had a lot of grit in the runners. I put a lot of paint on a wad of clothe and pulled it through the intake runners to seal the grit. Didn"t want all of the grit going into the cylinders.

replaced the manifold on my to 30 bought it from stieners made in U S A did not have to do anything bolted right up

I'm assuming you bought the exact reproduction of the TO-20/TO-30 manifold that they started selling and not the TO-35 reproduction manifold that everyone else is selling.

I replaced a manifold last summer on a TO-30, but I do not know the origin of the new manifold, it came with the tractor when I bought it. If I remember correctly I used a thin open end wrench and 3/8 socket set. I had to purchase a small breaker bar for the 3/8 set as the ratchet would not fit the socket in the close quarters. I replaced all the nuts with new ones. It was a little uncomfortable at times but did get it done and it did not leak.
