I think I have opened a rescue shelter for TO 30's. Jjust bought another one, number 3 now, cracked block but it was a running machine. $500 parts machine or maybe another to restore. This one is supposed to be a 1953 when I find a 52 I will have all four years. Pics to follow when I get a chance my son is picking it up now.

I know the feeling. Started out "rescueing" a Farmall Cub many years ago. Now, it is up to 11.

Lou's Big Boy Toy Shop.

some things need everything, and NOTHING needs NOTHING!

Congradulations!!
Was that on Craigslist in Ware? I was hoping someone would buy it so I didn't have to. I can't find all my fergies right now, but if this weather keeps up, I can take an inventory... and see what didn't survive the winter...
The TO30 is still hooked to the trailer the TEA20 never got off of... yet... what a winter eh?

Congratulations! I remember my dad 'rescuing' a 'basket case' TO-30 when I was a kid... It was literally in pieces spread all over the yard and barn, a rear wheel and rear-end on a stump in yard, more parts in barn, the crankshaft supposedly at a machine shop in town. (Turned out the shop had sold it a year after the work was done and never picked up...) I remember cleaning parts for what seemed like months, then loading most of the assembly onto a truck for my dad to take to a shop where they spent most of the day and evening finishing the engine assembly. He drove it off the truck when he came back!

Good luck on your project whatever you decide - parts to save another or restore it!

;-)

Hey Tony, yep that was the one. We thought it was a basket case of just parts, but it is mostly there.

Theres a lot more fish in the sea. I'd be looking at it as a parts --- - donor. Uh its like robbing the grave but sometimes its like donating organs. Gotta pick your battles and a cracked block??I've got a 35 with single clutch and a rod thru it but still can't borrow the vitals.

Wait... Ware, NH? That's near me! I want to say 'hello' to someone that close with spare parts!

;-)
