I remember John (UK) mentioned the FE 35 had their serial plate riveted on. However I do not know their exact location. The American 35 plates were installed with 4 round phillips head screws.
 
I'd be willing to have a look at mine and tell you, could you please have a look at yours and undo the tach at the distributor and lay a ruler across the threads and give me that measement?Thanks

From memory, the serial number was on the lower right of the dash
and the starting instructions were on the left.
