That is nice! Very well done!

I have been looking for a spin on filter adaptor for my TEA20. I know there is one available for the Triumph TR3/TR4 engine which I think should fit the Fergy.

I machined a spin on oil filter adaptor for my 1951 TEA-20 Fergy. Vanguard Engine Seems to work well. I shall send more pictures later to night. Threaded portion into ORIGINAL housing is a 7/8" NF thread...Male portion is to fit your choice of filter. Top of ORIGINAL housing was threaded to fit a NPT plug. Spacer was machined from ALUMINUM

Just wondering if you have ever experimented with the pressure relief adjustment, sprung my oil gauge by collapeing the spring all the way.

Since you did all this work so far, you might want to build a little removable cage around it all. A couple years ago when I posted a pic of the side of my late 60's Perkins gas 152, some one brought to my attention how... vulnerable? a modern spin on is compare to a steel canister model... yours now hangs even lower, so check it out before going in the woods...

It isn't really a Vanguard Engine, it is similar but it wouldn't fit into the Vanguard car. Come to that all the engines they made could be said to be Vanguard Engines as they fitted versions of the Gas and Diesel in the Vanguard Car. Unlike the Diesel which was a 20c, the Carb engine was only recognised by the description of the bore size..i.e. 80 or 85 or 87 mm.. I think that you may have got one of those filter adaptors from a Triumph sports car which used a version of this engine John(UK)

Someone having trouble with the oil pressure dropping from 60 lbs down to 10 and wanting to eliminate a weak spring. I did seek your advice back a year or so ago and received prompt and informative emails on the oil flow and the oil bango fitting.

Yes I remember that....but on any adjuster you never screw it fully, just a couple of turns will enable you to see what happens when you adjust it There is always a chance that you may get the spring coil bound. All the Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year....John(UK)

Not to mention what it did to the gauge, reads 40 lbs with engine off. leason learned. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
