Look what he brings GOOD little boys! Paying attention SAM? When was the last time he brought you a set of half tracks?
I sweetened the deal with a bottle or two of Christmas cheer... and said I'd be back for them in the spring , when the snow's gone.... the seller looked my ride over once or twice... oh that poor wee little minivan... it thought the trip from Ohio was a job... hey it all fit without wrecking anything, and came out of the van as neat and quick as it all went in... that poor minivan deserves a nice gift from Father Christmas too...

Nice pair of ARPS. Did you also get the boggie wheels and mounting hardware.
I guess you were a GOOD boy this year.

Kirk

yeah, they can't find all the parts that bolt under the axle, they remember the springs going west years ago, but it came off a Farmall C, so I suppose there'll be some searching and fabricating to do till it fits a fergie. The one wheel looks like an AC 15", which I just might have one laying around... in a snowbank somewhere...

They hook up similar to the Bombardier tracks. If you don't have the manuals for the ARPS tracks send me an email and I'll send you a couple of links to them.

I think it would be neat to see a set of bombardier tracks on a Case VAC. I have always liked how they looked.
Has anyone on here attempted to build their own? It looks like the track links would be about the hardest part.

Thanks!

Hey, that would be really handy up here right about now! We are in the middle of an ice storm. I still have power but it's not over yet.
Dan

I really think it took bribery to get Santa to leave them at your house, Tony.....either that or he hasn't checked on your past years behavior record yet!
First question..... why do you pack everything in ice?
Second.....did you notice the ar$e end of a 35 lying packed in ice beside the tracks?
Third....did you stumble on the tracks while looking at the ar$e end?
Fourth....what colour are you gonna paint them?
Sam

Oh Sam, don't bother Santa about details and certain things he might have missed...we'll just let sleeping dogs lie shall we???
Oh golly! is that a TEA20/FE35 arsend that was sitting frozen to the rock hard earth?? nay bloody worries mate. That is the rest of the MF204 I tore apart a few months ago... btw, here in Mass, we pretend tractor parts are cod, the state fish... we shovel snow and ice to bury the stuff all summer... what a horrible thought.... last couple days the weather is very... Irish? It's all melting right now, and I can't get enough!

that's what I find odd about these sort of tracks Dan, I run into more by accident down here than I ever heard of in the north country.
There should have been one set for every manure spreader sold. Between cleaning barns and hauling firewood, this idea should have been in every conversation since the horse died...

The military vehicle set have dead ends for M29 weasel tracks, which were very like the bombardier version, so some resort to machinery belting- like farm equipment power belt stock, and plain nut and bolt hardware to make tracks from scratch. So it 'can' be done...

Tony-- I think you will have time to get your TEA 20 ready for the South Pole trip if you work day and night.-- LOL-- You shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with the new MF 5600's with your new tracks. Sam may even want to go.-- LOL

Oh it doesn't mater if he WANTS to go... Sam is going... we'll pick you up on the way south...
You saw thru my evil plot... I don't care if these tracks even bolt up... I am going to put all my dead fergie pieces together into what looks like a tractor, with one big spotlight up front... and these tracks... all painted bright orange... with a New Zealand flag fluttering from the roll bars... what a one of a kind lawn ornament- don't ya think?
