Well the wife did good. She bought me a Ferguson TE-20 Sn TE 36180

It runs good. Still learing about it. it came with the Blade and I have added a 4" King Kutter box scraper.

The question is There are 2 arms attached to the Brake shaft that goes to the case, when I use the brake pedal those arms lift, they are both attached to the brake shafts. What are the for?
You can see the right pedal just in front of the rear tire.
I have the Shop manual, it does not show the levers.
I gues I need the Owners Manual....

Thanks Glen

That is your right and left independant brake pedals. The one in front of your foot on the right is the main brake pedal that operates both right and left brakes. If the right and left brake pedals are not frozen you can also pull up on them to operate the brakes.

How do you do that? Hook the pedal with your heel and lift?
Both pedals seem to be connected togeather, no independent movement.
Thanks

Not so. They are both independent. And don't lift, press down. Can be used in tight turns.

They may be seized. Lubricate.

Your wife bought you that tractor??? Brakes? What brakes...
The rods go up as you step on the main pedal. As you are rolling, step on one of the little pedals at a time, you will see why they are called 'steering brakes'. Yeah, an operator's manual would have explained all this...
So?? let's get back to the big question.. she got any sisters?? A sister with a TEA-20 with good brakes would be real nice....

The pivots on your side brakes are seized, you need to free them off . Then, if they are working correctly you can either set your heel on them to assist turning or pull them upwards by hand to do the same thing.

Well after 33 years of wedded bliss I know what the motive of the gift is.... guilt... but it is a nice tractor, so I play the game. Are you sure you want to meet the sister????
Ok I looked at the mount and can see the way the shaft is mounted, time to brake out the Kroil and start soaking.
