Mystery frame

This frame has been around the farm as long as I can remember. Used to have a 55 gallon drum on it along with a pump. It was set up to be a sprayer, with a fold-down boom maybe 12' wide.

The frame is Ferguson, but the tag is awfully faded.

I'm curious if Ferguson actually made a sprayer, or if someone made a sprayer from a frame that used to be something else.

Anyone have any idea?

Looks to me like the frame of the spring tined harrow? It probably a
typo but Ferguson did make the odd prayer when he went to the
local brethern hall, then he ended up as an agnostic!

The Ferguson corn planter is the only implement I can find that had a square toolbar in the front and an vertical post for the top link like that one. The rotary hoe had a vertical post for the top link like that but no square tool bar. Unless there is another implement that I don"t know of or don"t have a pic of I"d say the frame started off life as a planter.

Seems to me all the perforated angle iron implements started off as 'tool bars', then got a job and number as they left the mill.
Which ever of my 'cultivators' that gets used the least, will end up a tool bar with a sprayer or whatever bolted on. When me and miner were checking out the corn planter at the show, it seemed that started out as the same angle iron and 3 point frame as almost everything else... so yeah... a fergie sprayer thru some of its history...

Any of you that have never seen one ....well here are the TWO types
of genuine Ferguson sprayer......

The Ferguson planter that I had mounted to and used the 11 hole cross drawbar, the lift pins were not on the tool bar.
