TO30 throttle linkage length?

I am making a new linkage from the throttle lever to the friction disc plate. The parts book says the shaft is 3 1/16 but the ball joints I got are a little larger. What is the assembled length from center of ball joint to center of ball joint? That way I can make the shaft the correct length to work with my new ball joints.

Thank you,
Arthur

Arthur, the ends of the rod should be threaded to allow you to adjust the linkage as needed. I would say place all the linkage in the idle position and go from there.

The TEA20 throttle linkage does not use ball joints. This may give you an alternate idea, simpler and less hassles?

I would not think length would be too critical as any difference could be taken up at the governor end?

That look s a lot like what I have. I just got quick release ones just in case I have to work on it. I may switch to fixed ones once i get it set up and going.
